Podcast Episode 10 – Discovering The Inner Child

Throughout our lives, we accumulate various experiences and responsibilities that can distance us from our inner child. We may develop coping mechanisms, societal expectations, or beliefs that suppress or neglect this part of ourselves. Neglecting the inner child can lead to emotional and psychological issues, such as low self-esteem, anxiety, or difficulties in forming healthy relationships.

Acknowledging and reconnecting with our inner child can be a therapeutic and healing process. It involves nurturing and validating the childlike aspects within us, embracing our authentic selves, and addressing unresolved emotional wounds from the past. By doing so, we can tap into our innate creativity, playfulness, and curiosity, which can contribute to personal growth, emotional well-being, and a more fulfilling life.

Various therapeutic approaches, such as inner child work, inner child healing, or inner child therapy, aim to help individuals reconnect with their inner child, understand their needs, heal past traumas, and integrate this aspect into their adult selves. Techniques may include visualization, journaling, creative expression, and dialogue with the inner child to foster self-awareness, self-compassion, and inner healing.
