New Podcast: The Manosphere, Porn, and Consent: How Attitudes Become Relationship Damage

The so-called manosphere is reshaping how many boys and men think about masculinity, women, and sexual entitlement and it doesn’t stay online. It shows up in relationships.

In this episode I connect the wider culture to the private realities couples live with: how learned attitudes shape sexual scripts, and how those scripts can turn pornography into either an escape (often in codependency) or a sign of entitlement (often where narcissistic traits are present).

This isn’t morality and it isn’t denial. It’s about function: what porn is doing in the relationship, secrecy, avoidance, withdrawal, coercion, contempt and what actually helps when trust has been damaged.

You’ll also get a practical couple exercise (“The Reality Check”) designed to replace circular arguments with observable agreements and adult consequences

Dr Nicholas Jenner

Dr. Nicholas Jenner, a therapist, coach, and speaker, has over 20 years of experience in the field of therapy and coaching. His specialty lies in treating codependency, a condition that is often characterized by a compulsive dependence on a partner, friend, or family member for emotional or psychological sustenance. Dr. Jenner's approach to treating codependency involves using Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, a treatment method that has gained widespread popularity in recent years. He identifies the underlying causes of codependent behavior by exploring his patients' internal "parts," or their different emotional states, to develop strategies to break free from it. Dr. Jenner has authored numerous works on the topic and offers online therapy services to assist individuals in developing healthy relationships and achieving emotional independence.
